TWBM 2024 awards given to the most successful women in business in Montenegro

Within TWBM Awards 2024, the third issue of Top Women Business Montenegro magazine, that recognizes and celebrates achievements of the most prominent women in the Montenegrin business world, was also promoted.

The mission of the Top Women Business Montenegro (TWBM) initiative is not only to support women, but also to contribute to creation of an economical system that enables women to be competitive, inovative and successful, said the executive director of BI Communication agency and initiator of the TWBM project Ljiljana Burzan-Nikolić. At the ceremony where the best women owned or women magaged montenegrin companies were given awards TWBM 2024, she said that in Montenegro there are many inspiring businesswomen. Within TWBM Awards 2024, the third issue of Top Women Business Montenegro magazine, that recognizes and celebrates achievements of the most prominent women in the Montenegrin business world, was also promoted.

The award for the most successful medium-sized company ruled by women got the company Škorpion. The award was given to the executive director Daniela Dangubić, by a permanent representative of UNDP in Montenegro Ekaterina Paniklova.

Permanent representative of UNDP in Montenegro, Ekaterina Paniklova, said that UNDP proudly supports Top Women Business Montenegro initiative, that celebrates exceptional sucess of women entrepreneurs and their contribution to economic and social development of the country.

These recognitions are a reflection of business achievements, but also more than that – confirmation of strenght, creativity and determination of women that inspire communities and create positive changes. In UNDP we believe that strengthening women in business is not just a matter of equality, but also the key to a sustainable growth and progress, and that is why through these initiatives we build support networks, demolishing obstacles and opening new opportunities for future generations of women leaders in Montenegro”, Paniklova said.

“I want to express my gratitude for this award that means a lot to me, because it is also a confirmation that I chose the right path through three decades of professional and personal development. I was guided that dedication, persistance and female subtlety can overcome a variety of obstacles and lead to success and results and exactly that is the strenght of female business, which is also witnessed by this business community.“ Daniela said.

“Our mission is to put them in focus and to make their contribution visible. TWBM is therefore more than just an initiative, it is a community. When we look at the results, we see opportunities for growth and advancement. On that road we adopt concepts and ideas that intervene with our values, and one of them is equanomics – a new economic approach that helps us to more precisely define and direct our efforts towards true equality in economic environment.” Burzan-Nikolić assesed.
She suggested that TWBM will stay the voice of women who are facing business challenges, but who, through support and motivation, are building a road towards equal economic chances. “I invite you to create this change together, because together we can create the vision that represents equanomics – the vision of true equality in business world.” she said.

The president of the board of directors of NLB Bank Martin Leberle said that for success it takes tiring work, dedication, good partners and a little bit of luck.

“When after that there’s a reward – you got a direct, professional and almost unfiltered feedback about your entrepreneurial skills and outcome.
Women entrepreneurs that were rewarded today can be immensely proud, and all others will be additionally motivated to next time be on the spot of todays women entrepreneurs”, Leberle pointed out.

The TWBM award for the results achieved in business is given by company BI Communication, based on ranking done by the provider of business information BI Consulting. Rankings are made by applying of international definitions of female businesses MEST IWA 34, based on financial reports for 2023. TWBM 2024 Awards ceremony was organised in hotel Hilton in Podgorica.
